EU AI Act consulting that makes your AI practically prepared.

EU AI Act consulting brings your AI plans onto practically prepared footing. We clarify which of your applications fall into which risk class, what Art. 4 on AI literacy has required since 02.02.2025, and how to bring documentation and GDPR together cleanly. What you end with is not an abstract legal opinion but a concrete list of measures that fits into your AI roadmap.

What the EU AI Act requires of companies

The EU AI Act has been in force since 2024 and applies in stages. Since 02.02.2025, Art. 4 applies, the obligation to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among everyone who operates or uses AI systems. On top of that comes classification by risk, from prohibited practices through high-risk systems to systems with minimal risk. For mid-market companies this does not mean banning every application, but knowing cleanly what is allowed, what must be documented and where training is needed. That classification is exactly what we take off your plate.

The difference from general AI consulting

This page is the dedicated compliance offer. While general AI consulting on AI consulting that finds finds and delivers use cases, EU AI Act consulting focuses on the legal and organizational frame. We work closely with your roadmap so compliance does not become a separate project next to delivery but part of it. The plain explanation of the law is in the pillar on The EU AI Act explained, the actionable offer is here.

What we do for you

We start with an inventory of your deployed and planned AI systems. Then we assign each system to a risk class and derive the concrete obligations, from documentation through human oversight to transparency toward users. For Art. 4 we plan the literacy build-up, meaning which roles need which knowledge and how you evidence it. And we bring in the GDPR view, because data protection and the AI Act interlock in many places. The result is a prioritized list of measures with responsibilities.

Assess AI potential

Building AI literacy under Art. 4

Art. 4 does not require a certificate but demonstrable competence appropriate to role and context. We define what leadership, business units and the people at the AI systems each need to know, and propose a format that fits your operation. For practical literacy you can use workshops and accompanied pilots where teams work on real tasks with real tools. That builds competence that holds in daily work, instead of knowledge that fades after a training.

GDPR and data hosting

AI and data protection belong together. We check where personal data flows into your AI processes, which legal basis applies and how you honor data subject rights. Where data is sensitive, we keep processing in Germany and the EU and document it traceably. That keeps the coverage robust, even when a supervisory authority or a customer asks.

What you gain

You gain clarity and calm. Clarity, because every AI application has a clean classification and a concrete to-do list. Calm, because on Art. 4 and GDPR you can evidence what you do and why. And speed, because you do not have to slow AI projects out of uncertainty but build on a cleared frame. Compliance turns from a brake into a head start.

FAQ

Who does the EU AI Act actually apply to?
In principle to everyone who offers or uses AI systems in the EU, regardless of size. Small companies are not exempt, but their obligations depend heavily on the risk of the application. We clarify for your specific case which rules apply and which do not.
What does Art. 4 require since 02.02.2025?
Art. 4 requires ensuring a sufficient level of AI literacy among everyone who operates or uses AI systems. It is about suitable knowledge per role, not a specific certificate. We plan the literacy build-up so it is demonstrable and holds in daily work.
How do the EU AI Act and GDPR relate?
Both concern your AI from different angles. GDPR governs the handling of personal data, the EU AI Act the handling of AI systems by risk. In practice they overlap, for instance on transparency and documentation. We consider both together so nothing slips through.
What is a high-risk system?
The EU AI Act classifies certain areas as high-risk, such as critical infrastructure, human resources or creditworthiness. Such systems face stricter obligations. Whether one of your applications falls under this we clarify in the inventory so you do not over-regulate on suspicion.
How quickly do we get clarity?
A first robust classification of your systems takes a few weeks. It covers the risk classes, the most urgent obligations and the plan for the literacy build-up. From there you work through the measures list, prioritized by risk and effort.
