Workshop at a round table with charts and laptops

From recommendation to result

AI hackathon, from analysis to a built pilot

AI consulting too often ends with a recommendation. The AI hackathon flips that: we take the use case prioritized in the AI potential analysis and build it into a working pilot in days. A roadmap becomes not paper but a result your team can touch. The hackathon is the delivery stage of the consulting, not a detached event. The full hackathon video lives on this page; the home page shows only short snippets.

Sounds like your case? A short strategy call via our booking calendar clarifies that quickly, alternatively email info@ki-beratung.co.

What you gain

You gain certainty instead of assumption. Instead of debating whether a use case holds, you see on the built pilot what it can do and where the limits are. You get three to five ready prototypes, a team that keeps using the tools, and a reliable basis for the next decision. The format can serve as a documented building block of an AI competence concept under Art. 4 of the EU AI Act.

Consulting-led format

The hackathon builds on the analysis. The challenge comes from potential analysis and prioritization, with a clear success picture and named business ownership. A compact tool workshop opens the day, then teams build on their challenges, and each team presents its pilot. We handle facilitation and coaching and place the results back into the roadmap so the next step connects cleanly.

Planned within a week

With sponsor, challenge owner and access available, we plan the full format within a week. The week is planning time, not automatically the event date.

Assess AI potential

Process

Compact and hands-on. The result is a pilot, not a slide deck.

Lead-in, preparation. Clarify goal, participants and data, choose the challenge from the analysis. (Duration: 30-minute call. Output: setup ready)

Day 1, kickoff. Compact tool workshop, then teams build on the prioritized challenge. (Duration: half day. Output: builds started)

Build phase, build pilots. Teams build live, we coach. Every step visible. (Duration: 1 to several days. Output: working pilots)

Demo, test and frame. We test on real cases, collect exceptions and honestly name what does not hold yet. (Duration: 90 minutes. Output: test log)

Wrap-up, place into the roadmap. We record what production needs and how the next roadmap step looks. (Duration: 45 minutes. Output: next steps)

Who it fits

The hackathon fits companies that want certainty from a built result after consulting, instead of more recommendations. It fits less well when no prioritized use case exists yet, real tasks are not accessible, or only a keynote is wanted. In that case we start with the AI potential analysis.

FAQ

What is an AI hackathon?
An intensive hands-on format where teams build working pilots on real tasks with real data and tools, instead of just listening to consulting.
How does the hackathon relate to AI consulting?
It is the delivery stage. The prioritized use case from the potential analysis becomes a built pilot in the hackathon.
What comes out at the end?
Three to five ready pilots, a reliable basis for the next decision, a team that keeps using the tools, and an participation record.
What if we do not have a use case yet?
Then we start with the fixed-price AI potential analysis and derive the challenge from it.
Does the hackathon support the measures under Art. 4 EU AI Act?
The hackathon can be one building block of the measures under Art. 4 and delivers a participation record, in addition to built results. It does not replace an assessment of the overall setup.
